Exploration

Located in southern Ecuador, at the junction of the coastal platform and the foothills of the western mountain range, this area is characterized as a Cu-Mo porphyry system from the Oligocene (26.74 ± 0.1 Ma Re/Os). It is situated northwest of the Loma Larga and Río Blanco deposits. The main anomalies cover an area of 2 km², presenting stockwork zones, veins of quartz-pyrite-chalcopyrite, molybdenite, chlorite, green sericite, and typical features of a porphyry system with potassic and chloritic hydrothermal alteration. Additionally, there is an overlying epithermal zone with high-grade gold and silver veins.
